Heartwood Poppies

This morning my lovely friend Sarah called me to tell me about the beautiful poppies that were out in force at Heartwood Forest near St Albans.  So I went up and had a look, they really were fabulous, and there are soooooo many of them!  Below are a few of them that I like, I hope you do too!

Been a while since I was here - help, what has happened to the page set up...

Anyhow, went out with the camera this morning and took pics of the grasses and other such delights that are coming up in force after all the rain and wind.  The grasses by the river were gorgeous today, so many of them just starting to come out.  They really are lovely at this time of year - I think I have found the right names for them...
